The Challenge
Since 2016, Suntek has partnered with restaurants running PAR's Brink POS. While Brink is a strong transaction engine, restaurants repeatedly encountered limitations: reports lacked the depth required by accounting teams, multi-location rollups were difficult or impossible, operators could not customize reports, exporting to QuickBooks required manual work, custom tip pooling workflows didn't exist, and restaurants couldn't enrich or unify their own data. The data existed — but Brink didn't provide the tools to use it effectively.
Our Solution
Suntek built an end-to-end platform that extends Brink into a full reporting and workflow engine:
Real-Time, Full-Fidelity Brink API Sync
A proprietary sync service that captures every detail — sales, labor, tips, product mix, voids, adjustments — to the penny. Suntek's sync engine is known for exceptional accuracy and reliability.
Extended Reporting Engine
Suntek replicated all Brink native reports and introduced an entire suite of extended reporting capabilities: custom operational reports, accounting-grade summaries, product mix enhancements, multi-location financial rollups, column-level customization and enrichment, and exportable reports for QuickBooks and third-party systems. If a restaurant needed it, Suntek built it.
Custom No-Tax Tip Pooling & Payroll Automation
Casa Do Brasil was the first client to inspire Suntek's fully customizable no-tax tip pooling system, built to meet workflows that Brink does not support. Suntek's system calculates tips automatically with custom rules, validates labor data, exports clean payroll files, and eliminates manual spreadsheets and errors.
Flexible Kitchen Display System (KDS)
Developed for restaurants needing more control than Brink's standard KDS allowed, with customizable layouts, back-of-house workflow tuning, and real-time updates fed directly from the sync engine.
Smart Data Transformation & Enrichment
Suntek takes raw Brink data and turns it into smart data: unified datasets across stores, enriched calculations for accounting and operations, business logic applied consistently across all locations, and data pipelines that support AI, automation, and integrations.
