Suntek Solutions successfully unblocked a sales opportunity, Yoshinoya America, for the PAR Brink sales team. They are completing integration between Brink Point of Sale and the client's back office solution allowing the client to retain their existing data and reporting platform. Changing back office systems and the training that would accompany that change was not an option for the client at this time. If it weren't for Suntek, the client would likely have stayed on their prior system for a considerable while longer which would have prevented them from taking advantage of Brink capabilities they needed to grow. There is no other company in the Brink ecosystem that would have been able to respond with this quality of solution in so short a time.

Our business relies on adhering to specific tip pooling models at our restaurants. To our unfortunate surprise, we were informed that the software we were relying on to allocate tips was going to be discontinued. The Brink POS software we used at the time was not able to provide the ability to create tip pools and distribute them according to our custom tip model. Going forward, we were looking at the daunting task of having to attempt to replicate our bi-weekly employee tip allocations using spreadsheets and hours of manual labor.
Fortunately, we were referred to Suntek Solutions by a company called Retail Data Systems (RDS). If we had not pointed to Suntek Solutions, we would have been sunk! They worked with us to replicate the tip sharing model we established. Using their Brink api integration software and some additional user interfaces, we were able to create tip pools with allocated percentages and assign configured Brink job titles to each pool. Each day, we could audit credit card tips, as well as input total cash tips earned on a per meal period basis at each of our stores.
Suntek's out-of-the-box payroll export report would summarize the amount of cash and credit card tips alongside employees' regular earnings, making running payroll nearly instant. We only stopped utilizing the tip pooling feature after a company decision was made to move to a different point of sale platform. However, over a year after we had moved off of Brink POS, we needed sales and labor data spanning from a prior two-year period. Suntek was able to reconnect with the api, resync that data, and send us the necessary custom data export. I just wanted to send a note to thank Scott for all his hard work in helping us with the holes in the reporting capabilities in Brink. Without his reporting, we honestly could not have moved forward with the transition to Brink. As you know, the "Daily Stats" report I described during the sales process is central to how we do accounting at Café Zupas. Having to make a change would have been near impossible for us at that point. Scott has put in a ton of hours to create a report for us that is identical to what we needed despite the large difference in data structure from our previous platform to Brink. Scott brings a skillset that is deeply needed at Brink and adds capabilities to the portfolio for sales that would otherwise be unavailable.
