The Challenge

TakeOut Tech, a Grubhub-owned platform specializing in POS-driven online ordering, needed a partner capable of managing dozens of restaurants and 15+ POS integrations simultaneously. They required real-time syncing, infrastructure modernization, uptime across multiple markets, rapid restaurant onboarding, and technical solutions Grubhub didn't have bandwidth to handle internally. At national scale, reliability was essential.

Full Ownership of POS Integrations

Suntek rebuilt and maintained integrations across 15+ POS systems, including Brink, Toast, Micros 3700, NorthStar, and numerous additional legacy and modern systems. These integrations allowed TakeOut Tech to pull orders directly from POS systems, normalize disparate POS data structures, sync menus, modifiers, and pricing, and maintain order accuracy for both the restaurant and customer-facing site.

White-Labeled Online Ordering Platform

TakeOut Tech provided early capabilities that are common today but rare at the time: POS-powered online ordering, real-time menu publishing, customer order management, reporting dashboards, and seamless POS-to-web communication. Suntek enhanced and stabilized these systems, ensuring accuracy, uptime, and scalability.

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Management

Suntek handled AWS infrastructure hosting and optimization, monitoring, performance tuning, and error remediation, deployment workflows and version control, database management and long-term data storage, and ensuring consistent functionality across all restaurant clients. TakeOut Tech relied fully on Suntek for the operational health of its platform.
